Major General Darrell L. Moore

  •     General Moore Promoted

         Senior Partner Darrell L. Moore was recently selected by the President of the United States for promotion from the rank of Brigadier General in the Marine Corp Reserves to the Rank of Major General.

         General Moore was confirmed by the Senate in August and became eligible for his "promotion" on October 1, 2008.  

         General Moore's Pinning Ceremony was held at the Law office of J. Ralph Moore, PC., and was attended by his family, friends and office staff.

J. Ralph Moore

Longtime Pryor Attorney J. Ralph Moore died on Sept. 8. He was born Oct. 12, 1928, in Eagletown, the youngest of eight children. He married Maurine Thompson 60 years ago on Aug. 17, 1948. They had four children, Darrell Moore and wife Donna of Pryor, Jeff Moore and wife Wendy of Herndon, Va., Kevin Moore and wife Dana of Edmond, and Julia Neftzger and husband Greg of Pryor. They also shared 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was a Marine Corps Veteran of World War II and a retired Army Reserve Colonel. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor of science degree in Economics and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1952. He practiced law in Pryor from 1952 until his retirement.
